The condition of roads and bridges in the US worries travel executives

A recently released survey by the US Travel Association in partnership with Building America’s Future highlights the broad constituency concerned about the condition of infrastructure in the US.  According to a report in Meeting News more than three-quarters of travel industry leaders say the current state of transportation infrastructure in the United States puts the nation at a competitive disadvantage compared to other countries, and more than a quarter say it puts the nation at a “strong disadvantage.  Indeed, according to the survey seventy-six percent of U.S. Travel members say they do not believe the current state of U.S. infrastructure is positioned to respond to the competitive demands of increased travel over the next 10 to 15 years.
