← Back

The Second Avenue Subway is an ongoing, multi-phase project improving transit on Manhattan’s East Side. Phase 1, completed in 2017 for $4.5 billion, added three stations from 63rd to 96th Street, bringing subway service to a previously underserved corridor. Phase 2, now underway at $7.7 billion, will extend the Q line to 125th Street in East Harlem with three ADA-accessible stations. Key GCA members include Skanska USA (Phase 1) and Halmar International (Phase 2). These milestones are made possible by the GCA’s highly skilled contractors, ensuring quality and safety for the communities served.
