Through a multi-faceted program of educational and networking events and the popular Speakers Series, the GCA engages the heavy civil construction industry, key stakeholders and the public on a wide range of significant and timely issues.

DMWBE Networking Events
The General Contractors Association is committed to providing opportunities to work on heavy civil construction projects to certified DBE and MWBEs. The GCA’s targeted networking events provide unparalleled opportunities for these firms to meet with GCA members and discuss subcontracting opportunities.

Speaker Series
The popular Speaker Series keeps our members and other stakeholders informed of the latest perspectives on the political and technical aspects of heavy civil construction. The Speaker Series offers insight into cutting edge industry developments and attracts important players and critical thinkers from around the region.

Education and Training
Educational events and training programs help GCA members and their employees develop the skills required to be successful. Events include educating the next generation about the importance of infrastructure investment for the future. Other programs are targeted to helping minority and women owned businesses succeed in the challenging heavy civil construction marketplace.
